Can a professional photographer use the Canon RF 50mm 1.8 or is it necessary to have the high end Canon RF 50mm1.2L? We’re going to put them to the test to find out!
The Canon RF 50mm 1.8 is certainly a budget lens, coming in at $159! But is it worth a $2,000 price difference to justify needing the RF 50mm 1.2L? There are a LOT of differences between them and you know that I am not a techy review kind of person, so what we’re going to look at is the end result once the pictures are taken!
Just holding the lenses in my hands, I could immediately tell the difference in weight and overall feel! The RF 50mm 1.8 is SO much lighter, made of plastic and looks so tiny on the camera body! I’m so used to the weight of the RF 50mm.2L so it would take a lot to get used to how light that is.
Overall, I was impressed by this lens but there’s some differences you’ll want to see to help you make the decision!
