very easily been a Part 1/Part 2 post! I originally selected 244 images to blog…. WHAT?!! Gracious! It was just a beautiful day. From beginning to end. I knew it was going to be one of my favorites this year because I knew I would be spending ALL day with Sharon and I seriously love this girl. She’s so beautiful and joyful! I was so incredibly honored when she asked me to shoot her wedding last summer. You see, Sharon is a photographer and has a great eye…. and so I know how it is to be a photographer and then have a wedding of your own. You have HIGH expectations for your images. It’s the MOST IMPORTANT part of the day… besides marrying your best friend. So when Sharon
chose me… I was both nervous AND thrilled. As Sharon put her dress on, she scooted closer to the window for better “light” and she was constantly making sure that the bathroom lights weren’t on the same time that the natural light was pouring through the windows in the hotel (that causes horrible W/B issues!). She definitely knows her stuff… but today wasn’t her day to worry about that. This was her day to feel absolutely gorgeous and to live out her fairy tale wedding day. I watched her gradually switch gears and realize that it was HER DAY! She was the one in white, she was surrounded by her best friends and she was about to marry the love of her life. When Sharon read her vows, she told Chase that she had prayed for a man like him for so many years….a man that would take care of her and love her and give her butterflies. After the tears and one long, romantic kiss in front of all of their family and friends, they were pronounced husband and wife…. and Sharon squealed. They made their way down the aisle and I think Sharon literally tackled Chase as she was jumping up and down. They were MARRIED! Finally!! And not only was their wedding beautiful… it was such an emotional celebration! I loved it. I love weddings where I cry. I consider Sharon a close friend but I barely know their families! So when I was tearing up during the toasts, it was because I could just feel how genuinely these two are loved by their parents, their siblings and their friends.

So after I got myself back together and made sure the mascara wasn’t running down my face, I made another few trips around the trip to make sure I hadn’t missed any details. You see, there were details everywhere!! Sharon did a fabulous job designing the reception and making it totally “them”! I wish I could show you EVERYTHING! From the candy bar to the old, vintage mantle at the front of the ceremony, I was in detail heaven!! So enjoy this amazing wedding and be sure to leave a comment for Mr. and Mrs. Hundley!! They’ll be back from their honeymoon soon but I have a funny feeling that Sharon is going to find a way to see this post today!:) Congratulations you two!! Thank you for allowing me to celebrate with you and capture your day!!! Loved every minute of it! (except the part when we climbed in the wheat field and my legs itched for a half hour…. but it was so WORTH IT!)
Sharon you’re gorgeous!!!!!!!!!
First Look!! Because they opted for a first look, they were able to have so many fun portraits!! Yay!
Oh Gosh!!! LOVE THIS!
I was a little obsessed with her bouquet!
Is it just me…. or does this look like it could be in Georgia somewhere?!! Am I just making that up?
Amazing ceremony location overlooking the river!
More portraits… because Sharon and Chase are awesome!
Now before you think… “Oh Katelyn, so creative!” …. That truck shot on the left was a stolen idea from the GREAT Jose Villa…. I don’t get any credit for that!!!

In today’s world, the idea of a “healthy home” can feel overwhelming. With constant information about toxins, processed foods, and environmental risks, it’s easy to feel defeated before you even start. So I’m sharing our journey and the small, impactful steps we’ve taken towards a healthier home.
This week, Michael is sitting down with me at the microphone to join me on the podcast! When we started our Acton Academy journey, we had big dreams and very little idea of the practical challenges that lay ahead. Today, in year three of running our own Acton Academy, Michael and I are thrilled to reflect on the incredible transformation we’ve seen in our learners, our community, and even our own perspectives on education.
Photography is an art that thrives on creativity and technique. If you don’t have the basics of lighting and posing down, this tip won’t work- but if you’re looking to elevate your style, this is for you!!
In this episode of “Doing Life Differently”, I sat down with my friend Catherine Guidry, a luxury wedding photographer and educator, to discuss the challenges and rewards of personal branding. Cat and I dug deep into how sharing more of ourselves—while still maintaining boundaries—can transform our businesses, relationships, and personal lives.
This is not a technical review filled with specs, but rather a practical perspective on how the R6 Mark II performs in everyday photography situations!
