You’re not going to believe this but this session was probably our easiest DC engagement session to date! We had glow, no crowed, a beautiful setting and the most wonderful couple!
Kevin and Emily met us at Constitutional Gardens last week and I was expecting crowds because the weather was amazing. We were anticipating super hot weather and high humidity but it was so pleasant! Everywhere we went, I just kept saying, “guys, how is this so perfect?!” and I meant it! Normally DC sessions have some element of stress but everything for Kevin and Emily’s shoot worked out so well! Even our parking spot was amazing!
We met them at the gardens and found beautiful settings, foregrounds and glowy light which is all I could ask for in a location! Then we headed over to Georgetown where we captured some more images where Kevin asked Emily to marry him! We loved getting to know these two and hear more about their life, their work, their families and their wedding plans! We left our time together and Michael and I both commented on how sweet our time together was! I’m thrilled to share some of my FAVORITES from their session!!
As a professional photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless family portraits over the years. Each session presents a unique set of challenges, from managing energetic children to finding the perfect backdrops.
As a photographer, I’ve often found myself in situations where the location seemed lackluster or uninspiring. It’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of the perfect setting, but the reality is that we don’t always have the luxury of shooting in the most visually stunning locations.
We rescheduled this shoot with the Smith family once because of a threat of rain. It wasn’t a totally horrible forecast but if there’s one thing that I learned about Colleen when I photographed her wedding, it’s that she loves the GLOW!
What’s better than doing a family session for one KJ couple? Photographing TWO and adding in Nonna and Grandpa!
As a professional wedding photographer, I’ve encountered my fair share of editing challenges on the job.
Have you ever closed out of Lightroom unhappy with the end result?
