It’s hard to believe that I’m blogging this beautiful wedding that was shot on a 70 degree day and it’s currently snowing outside!! What is up with this weather?! I’ll admit that I’m a little jealous of these two. Matt and Ashleigh are in the Maldive Islands for the next two weeks!! What an amazing honeymoon! They deserve an amazing honeymoon following their amazing wedding day. I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for several months now. I knew from the very beginning that this sweet couple cares deeply about their photography. It was an honor to be their photographer and capture their beautiful wedding day. As we walked out of the hotel for the first look, the warm air and soft breeze was a pleasant surprise. With the weather we have been having recently, Saturday was such a gift!
I was so thankful for a gorgeous day and the fact that I was working with such an amazing group of people. I met Ashleigh at Jonathan and Anna’s wedding last summer and I can’t believe it’s almost been a year! It was so much fun to see old friends and meet new ones. Ashleigh and Matt have the sweetest families! Their day was filled with amazing surprises from Ashleigh’s sisters… included the Hokie Bird making his debut on the dancefloor! You’ll see some shots of this later on in the post! It was an incredible party from beginning to end and you could just tell that Matt and Ashleigh were having the time of their lives!! Enjoy this beautiful downtown Norfolk wedding!! Matt and Ash, we love you two! Being a part of your wedding day was such a privilege and we are SO so happy for you and this new season of life together!!!
