We turned off the interstate with 2 hours to kill before we started shooting Jonathan and Anna’s wedding day. You never know how 64 is going to treat you and so we left with plenty of cushion time. As we pulled up to the church, I realized “I know this place!”. It was the same church that our friends Mandy and Josh were married in last May! It’s gorgeous and so southern! I was already aware of the location around the church but we decided to take a little drive to waste some time and we found a beautiful abandoned home that just so happened to match the wedding colors!! SCORE! When it came time for bridal party portraits, we made sure the house wasn’t occupied and then we made great use of the beautiful porch! It was perfect! There are so much hidden gems in that part of downtown Hampton! It almost resembled a downtown Charleston wedding!
Jonathan and Anna couldn’t have been any sweeter. My favorite part of their wedding day when they finally saw each other during their first look and they just couldn’t stop talking! They were still talking during bridal party portraits! They hadn’t seen each other very much the lat two days with all of the last minute planning and they had a lot to catch up on:) That’s a true sign that they’re best friends. I love the way they love each other and Michael and I couldn’t be happier for them!! Their wedding day was amazing and so beautiful from beginning to end! The rain held off and I’m so thankful!! Enjoy some of my favorites everyone and have a wonderful Thursday!!
You know I’m loving these wedding colors! None of the guys were bow tie experts… hence the very serious faces.
Love this one from Michael!! So cute! stunning Anna!! AH! Such a sweet, genuine moment!! Love. And I also love that while I was shooting this, Michael was shooting the left image below. They look like totally different locations! That shot on the right? Model status!! Another favorite! These necklaces were so much fun! Fav! MARRIED!!!! So excited! A few “Just married” portraits!!
Oh where do I begin? This wasn’t just another wedding for me. This was a legacy KJ Wedding and I have been looking forward to it ever since my first email from Danny and Megan!
I’m really excited about this YouTube video because I know that it resonates with ALL photographers who photograph PEOPLE!!
Have you ever walked into a client experience and realized “oh wow, this is not what I was expecting?” ….
