Oh my goodness what a dream! During our time in Scotland we did an engagement session for our sweet couple, Eddy and Tiffany! They flew all the way from their home in California!
Tiffany and I began emailing months ago and I’ll never forget her mentioning that she wanted an “epic” location for her engagement session. The truth is, everyone desires epic engagement portraits but not everyone is as dedicated as Eddy and Tiffany. They truly went above and beyond!! I casually mentioned, almost jokingly, that we would be shooting in Scotland in April if they wanted to hop on over and join us there!! Well, they DID! A ten hour flight later, they joined us in the Highlands of Scotland in an amazing spot called Glencoe! If you know anything about Scotland, you know that this location is about as epic as it gets! The mountain ranges are dramatic and dynamic. The light is tricky but lovely. The shooting locations are super ideal and accessible. It’s an overall DREAM location!!
We emailed back and forth about all of the details and there is one thing that I came to love about Tiffany. She’s not only amazing with her planning details, she’s also incredibly caring and thoughtful. She wanted this session to be beautiful but also enjoyable and fun for Eddy! So many brides are just focused on the end result and not on the experience. This same level of thoughtfulness has also carried over on to her wedding planning. Every detail is already planned out and carefully considered…. and their wedding isn’t until November!
I already knew that I loved this sweet couple from hearing their story, but after spending almost 3 hours together at their shoot, I found myself wishing we could see them again sooner! We laughed, we trekked through grasses and rocks, we got to know one another and together, we created some GORGEOUS portraits!! If epic is what they desired, EPIC is what they got!!! Ah! I can’t WAIT for you to see this session! What a dream. I’m seriously considering re-branding to be a “Glencoe Destination Portrait Photographer”. ha!
Enjoy this amazing session and get excited for their beautiful Californian wedding later this year!
Ps. I should add, this was a SUNRISE SESSION and yes! It’s going to be shared in All Access later this year (our Membership for photographers!).
In today’s world, the idea of a “healthy home” can feel overwhelming. With constant information about toxins, processed foods, and environmental risks, it’s easy to feel defeated before you even start. So I’m sharing our journey and the small, impactful steps we’ve taken towards a healthier home.
This week, Michael is sitting down with me at the microphone to join me on the podcast! When we started our Acton Academy journey, we had big dreams and very little idea of the practical challenges that lay ahead. Today, in year three of running our own Acton Academy, Michael and I are thrilled to reflect on the incredible transformation we’ve seen in our learners, our community, and even our own perspectives on education.
Photography is an art that thrives on creativity and technique. If you don’t have the basics of lighting and posing down, this tip won’t work- but if you’re looking to elevate your style, this is for you!!
In this episode of “Doing Life Differently”, I sat down with my friend Catherine Guidry, a luxury wedding photographer and educator, to discuss the challenges and rewards of personal branding.
