Well, as I’m sitting here trying my hardest to think of the best way to introduce this beautiful girl to all of you, I’m a little teary eyed. I don’t really think I can do it justice through my words. Amelia is one of those people that you only meet once. There is no one else like her in the whole world, I’m convinced. She is the most attentive, caring, compassionate, unconditionally loving person I know. Amelia has the ability to see through everyone’s imperfections and love them for who they are. She’s gentle (except when she hugs!), she’s sweet spirited and Amelia is also Autistic. She’s my best friend’s little sister and so I have literally watched her grow from a little blonde toddler, faithfully drinking chocolate milk and walking barefoot everywhere she went, to a beautiful senior in high school! I can’t believe it! I have some of the funniest memories of Amelia. I’ll only share one since I know you want to get to the pictures! I really shouldn’t even share this because it really reflects poorly on both my ability to drive and pay attention!
Amelia has always had a need for speed!! She LOVED and I mean LOVVVED her first go-cart. Well one summer, I was pretty much living with the Terry’s and Caroline and I decided to ride go-carts around the yard. Amelia really wanted to ride and so luckily, we made her put on a helmet and we “thought” we strapped her in with her seatbelt. However, like a wild woman, I was going just as fast as that little thing would go, screaming and laughing as I tried to keep up with Caroline. It took me one whole lap around the field before I realize I had flung Amelia straight out of the passenger seat on the last curve!!! I found her laughing her head off in the middle of twigs and weeds! And because Amelia is Amelia, she did what no one else would ever dare to do…she got back in the go cart with me!
That story is cute and I love thinking about all the memories I have shared with sweet Amelia. However, that story is also gives you the perfect picture of Amelia and her attitude on life. Needless to say she has had struggles and she has had to overcome a lot of adversity…but she remains “happy”, joyful, and reflects the glory of the Lord to everyone she comes in contact with. Amelia is known for asking EVERYONE, “You happy?”… “Kate-land you happy?”…”Michael you happy?”…”Michael you my friend?” She is such a gift to all of us who have gotten to share our lives with her and her family. I love them like they were my own and I couldn’t have been more honored to shoot her senior portraits this past friday. We took them at their “Crink House” down on the river. It was the perfect location to really show off the true Amelia that we all know and love.
enjoy:)
Of course it started raining as soon as we started! So we took a few inside the house and some of them are actually my favorites!
a favorite!
After walking around the fish house, we hopped in the boat to head to the beach! I’m telling you, Amelia is her happiest there. She loves it!last but not least…this is soo Amelia:)
A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
