Lightroom CC vs. Lightroom Classic…
Which one do I need?
Does it really matter?!
Do they do the same thing?
There are pros and cons to each version, BUT if you’re a professional photographer, there is a clear choice!!
Lightroom CC stands for Creative Cloud, which means everything can be stored on the cloud.
So what are some of the pros of Lightroom CC?
- You’ll have an automatic backup in the cloud
- You can edit photos from multiple devices
- Lightroom CC is more intuitive in the way it’s designed
- More user friendly than Lightroom Classic
- More AI organizational tools
- This is for the amateur everyday photographer!
So looking at that list, there are a lot of good things about Lightroom CC! There’s a definite use for it for many people but there’s a reason I use Lightroom Classic!
And here’s the pros of Lightroom Classic :
- More editing power
- More masking tools
- Not cloud based
- Can handle a large number of photos easier
