I know it’s not good to worry but I did worry about you a lot over our years growing up. I remember defending you when Michael and Andrew would pick on you in your younger years… I remember worrying during our middle school years that we wouldn’t get a long and be close because at the time, when we were different as night and day. I remember dating Michael in high school and feeling so lucky to have found a christian guy in a sea of crazy teenage boys who were far from what I wanted in a life partner… and I worried some more because I wanted you to find the same thing. Emy, I have prayed for years that God would bring an amazing man into your life…. someone who loved you but loved Christ even more…. sometime who could make you laugh but who would also have deep, life-giving conversations with you… someone who you could fight WELL with… someone that you could be totally yourself around and who you be your biggest cheerleader. Today I’m incredibly overwhelmed because I’m realizing that God has been so incredibly faithful. So many prayers are being answered today and I’m just in awe of His goodness. You are marrying the love of your life… the only love of your life. You have saved your heart for 23 years for this day and for this guy…. and you’re going to be surrounded by some of the best friends a girl could ask for!! Those college roomies that I prayed for? They’re going to be standing beside you at 5pm in front of all of our family and friends… and that boy I prayed for all of these years? … He’ll be your husband come 6:00pm!!! I’m just in awe. It doesn’t get much better than this!!! Emy Roo-Roo (It’s my last time to call you that!) I wish you an incredible wedding day!
