As you know from reading the blog and hearing about our life, Michael and I love looking at homes…. especially homes on the water. After building our new house, we have become even more obsessed with looking at impressive homes with gorgeous architecture. Our favorite homes are always on the water. I mean how amazing would it be to lookout over a river or a lake in your backyard?! So when we pulled up to Judson and Catie’s venue, I knew that Michael was going to love the view from the backyard! It’s just beautiful! The ceremony took place on the back lawn and the guests overlooked the James River as Judson and Catie were married. Everything was just perfect and went according to plan… except for the train that decided to roll past RIGHT after Catie walked down the aisle!
Everyone just laughed and I smiled over at Michael because this happened to us LAST weekend at Brendan and Jenna’s wedding!! Those little imperfections are things that everyone will remember forever and I love them! They make wedding even more memorable!
Michael and I loved being a part of this amazing day and we absolutely loved shooting so close to home! This family owned property is so close to our new house and it was awesome to only be 10 minutes away! Enjoy Judson and Catie’s wedding and get excited because not only did their reception include gorgeous lighting displays, they also had a bacon bar, louge and fireworks! QUITE the party! :) Enjoy!
I LOVED Catie’s hair! So perfect for portraits! Beautiful! What a cutie! Judson made these bouts! So impressed! Such a beautiful location for a ceremony! Waiting to walk down the aisle:)
Love his face! Married!!! Love this shot of Michael’s! And then this guy joined in the recessional! :) Favorite:) Ah-mazing! Reminds me of our tent!! so beautiful! Bacon bar?! Yum! Storms are the best!

A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
