decided that if I didn’t love Richmond so much, I would move to Charlottesville in a heartbeat! The rolling hills outside of that adorable city are just stunning! Tucked away on 6,000 acres is the historic Mount Ida Farm! This property is the largest privately owned stated in Virginia! Talk about impressive! It’s so gorgeous. The coordinator and property manager for Mount Ida loaded Mike, Jess and I up into a massive hummer and we toured the property for their engagement shoot! I’m so thankful that we had a guide throughout this property because there is just SO much land! I wouldn’t have known where to even begin!!
We jokingly called our hummer adventure a “Safari” because the amount of wildlife we ran into was unbelievable! Wild turkeys, cows, clydesdales, red foxes, bunnies, deer and thankfully no snakes! As we journeyed over the river and through the woods (literally… we drove through a creek), we found some amazing locations for Jess and Mike’s images.
Jess and Mike are such a cute couple! They’re the perfect height for GREAT “nuzzling” shots… and let me tell you, I took a TON! They are so naturally joyful that taking their portraits was a breeze! I love this time of year because I’m getting to meet the rest of my 2013 couples that I have only emailed with up to this point. It’s so wonderful to leave an engagement session so pumped for yet another wedding!! Jess and Mike, I’ll see you in the fall!! Cannot WAIT for the big day!
How cute are they?! I just loved taking these! Beautiful!!! I just love this area! Mount Ida farm is amazing! Our escort vehicle and on-lookers! ohhhhh man! Love this! yeaaaa… Such great dippers! Gorgeous girl!!
A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
