Have you ever heard the saying “Less is more”? Of course you have! Well that’s the reoccurring thought that I had during Amanda and Josh’s wedding day on Sunday. They decided to have a more intimate wedding day with only 40 guests. Their closest friends and family came to Barnsley Gardens Resort and spent the weekend with them. This place is just amazing. It’s so quaint and charming but most importantly, it’s relaxing! I introduced myself to Amanda’s dad at the beginning of the day and he told me that he had just played some tennis. Isn’t that awesome?! I’m sure my dad would have LOVED to have been so carefree on my wedding day that he could have played TENNIS!! what a dream!! I remember Amanda telling me through emails that they wanted their guest to have a great time and they also wanted to have a more laid back wedding day. They had JUST that.
Not only was their wedding day stress-free and enjoyable… it was BEAUTIFUL! The weather? PERFECT. The location? STUNNING. Michael and I were just in awe of the scenery. Barnsley Garden Weddings take place at the ruins of an old plantation home and it makes for one incredible backdrop!
Their ceremony was held at a tiny chapel on the property. Josh and Amanda spoke freely about how they have waited so long to find one another. In their vows they thanked God for being so incredibly faithful and I couldn’t help but remember how Michael and I felt on our wedding day. God was so faithful to us. Our story is so different from Josh and Amanda’s but when it comes to God’s faithfulness, it’s very similar. Watching two soul mates commit to being best friends forever is powerful but witnessing them promise to be faithful just as God has been faithful is amazing.
They shared their vows and sealed it with a kiss!! And then we were off for more portraits! Amanda is a photographer and so she made SURE we had time for as many portraits as possible! I obviously wasn’t opposed to this AT all!
Michael and I left the venue that night with hearts full of joy. Maybe it was the amazing couple, maybe it was the incredible venue…. or maybe it was just pure happiness that comes from doing something that you love…. and doing it with your best friend. Josh and Amanda we were so honored to be a part of this celebration. Thank you and your sweet families for welcoming us with open arms! I cannot WAIT to share some of my favorites from your big day!!! Enjoy!!

A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
