a sick day. A day when all I really want to do is lay under our down comforter and watch old episodes of Friends. Yesterday I got home in the evening from a shoot and was returning emails while Michael was at a meeting. I was ready to conqueror my inbox and get an album design done but veryyyyy slowly, I started losing motivation. After about 30 minutes, I realized the house was CHILLY and I went downstairs to turn the heat up but it was at 76! So I thought “Hmmm… that thermometer must be broken because it is COLD in here!!”.
I returned to my desk, ate a nutragrain bar (blueberry of course) and I tried to focus on the task at hand. No such luck. I couldn’t breathe out of my noise and all of a sudden it hit me… I DON’T FEEL GOOD!!! I had a slight fever and so I resorted to the couch with orange juice and my fuzzy teal robe that I’m sure would keep me warm even in the arctic!! It’s amazing how fast this little cold crept up on me. I took some medicine and then decided to try out Airborne. I bought the Lemon Lime kind that you mix into a glass of water. As I raised the glass to my mouth, Michael gave me a “look” that said “ewwww…. good luck with that”. I took a swig and WOW! It tasted like Diet Mountain Dew! It wasn’t GREAT but I was expecting it to be much worse! Who knows if it really helped my immune system or not… at least it tastes ok!
So I’m still stuffy and not feeling on my “A” game so I stayed away from the computer this morning and went downtown with Michael for lunch. It’s just hard to get motivated to return emails when you’re not feeling 100%!! So today is definitely classified as a SICK day. Lets hope this clears up before ice skating and the Nutcracker tomorrow!! Have an amazing weekend and stay warm! If you happen to feel like you’re catching a cold…. Airborne really isn’t as nasty as it looks… in my opinion. But then again, that’s coming from the girl who LOVES Fish Filet sandwiches at McDonalds!!:):)
