me a while back asking if I wouldn’t mind helping her surprise her boyfriend Patrick for his birthday. We were going to get together and just talk photog stuff since Patrick is into photography. I realized I was going to be on JMU’s campus for an engagement session on the 7th so I offered to meetup with them on campus! This was the plan …. until Patrick emailed me. He knew about the photography hangout that was planned but he emailed me to explain that he was going to propose the week before I was supposed to come up and see them. Well that CHANGES EVERYTHING! Instead of just hanging out and snapping of
few of them as a couple, Patrick asked if this session could turn into an engagement session… and of course I said YES! So really, Emily’s surprise for Patrick turned into Patrick’s surprise for Emilie. It was great! Michael and I met these two when we came to Gayton (Our church!). They were already off to college and so we have only had the chance to get to know them on breaks but anytime we’ve been around them, we just love them! They’re an amazing couple and we’re so excited that they’re getting MARRIED! Getting engaged is so exciting but having your engagement session done 7 days after your fiance’ proposed is AMAZING! The newness of it all was still in the air. Roommates were excited, I was excited, and Emilie and Patrick acted like they had been modeling for years! Seriously! These two are wonderful in front of the camera and I can’t wait to show you my favorites! Michael drove up with me last friday for this session just so we could spend some time together and it was a fun mini-trip to Harrisonburg! So enjoy this post and congratulations to Patrick and Emilie!!!!!!
Ps. I realize this isn’t a WEDDING WEDNESDAY post…. but this just happens to be one of my busiest months! Everyone wants a “fall” engagement session! I have shot 1 wedding, 1 senior shoot and 4 engagements in the last 6 days! AHHH! So Wedding Wednesday will just have to be postponed while I play catch up on the blog!
Love the one on the right! Emilie you’re beautiful!!!
Nasty alleys are my favorite places!!
And not to ruin the romantic mood….. but my husband found a praying mantis during the shoot… and he was very proud of himself…..Back to the good stuff!
A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
