Gosh it feels good to do what I love to do again! This was my first shoot back since maternity leave ended and I loved every minute of it! I have known Matt and Abby for years and years and so while this was a true portrait session with paying clients and outfit changes, etc…. it was also a shoot with dear friends and it was wonderful to spend some time with them!
I feel so honored that Abby chose me! Out of all of the amazing photographers that she knows and loves, she allowed ME to capture their portraits for their tenth anniversary! I always feel so humbled that other photographers allow me into their lives in this way. I’ve said it a million times before (especially in KJ All Access episodes… which this shoot will be featured in down the road! yay!) … but I get SO nervous shooting for other photographers!!! They know how to pose, how to find great light, how to manage a shoot, etc. Even with 12+ years of experience and all of the courses I’ve created and photographers I’ve taught, I still get nervous!
I wanted beautiful light and perfect locations for Matt and Abby. I wanted these tenth anniversary photos to represent the depth of their love and how much they have grown together in these past ten years. I wanted to create images that I was proud of and that also resembled what I know Abby’s personal style is. Well….. I’m happy to report that I was able to capture just that! This was my first shoot post-maternity leave and I felt so inspired to shoot again!
Matt and Abby, we love and appreciate you. Thank you for being dear friends and encouragers. We love you both and it was our joy to celebrate your anniversary with you during your shoot!!
A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
