Within minutes of walking up to a new couple, I can tell that we are truly a great fit. This was especially true with Hunter and Leah. It was border-line raining and we knew that we were taking a big chance still following through with their engagement session despite the forecast. They were so relaxed. I can’t explain how wonderful it is to work with couples that fully trust us. Leah found us years ago when I photographed her friend Katie’s wedding and she has been following along ever since.
Hunter started a new job the week following the shoot and so we made it a priority to get their session done rain or shine and it was worth the risk! Yes, it started pouring at the end, but we had a plan! We used the front porch of a cute historic front porch for the end of their shoot and it worked perfectly!!
We loved having some time to get to know these two and hear about their story and wedding plans. They spent the weekend doing “all things wedding” related and they kicked it off with a beautiful, summery session on the campus of the VMFA in downtown. Hydrangeas were blooming and Leah’s blue dress popped off of the bright neutral buildings!! Everything went perfectly…. even when they arrived in their second outfits and the rain started to fall. We saved the cute covered porch for last and that was a perfect decision!! I loved how these turned out and it makes me so excited to capture these two on their wedding day!!!
Enjoy my favorites from this casual, relaxed engagement session at the museum!!!
Leah and Hunter, thank you for trusting me and for also bringing us the sweetest gift for baby #4! You are so thoughtful!!!!
A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
