We had their session scheduled for two Fridays ago and the forecast was not cooperating. We book up about two months in advance, and so I was THRILLED when we had a schedule change for the very next Friday, and Katherine and Nick were FREE! It was perfect timing, and we couldn’t have picked a better day. The light was perfectly soft and glowy! The temperature felt like a warm day in September, and these two were naturals!
I always know that we’re a good fit with our couples when I have to constantly check the time to make sure we stay on schedule, because I could easily get distracted by talking to them for hours! Nick and Katherine are so kind and lovable. We enjoyed our session with them so much that we used up every last drop of daylight!! We started in a beautiful residential area, and then moved down to the canal and the Georgetown waterfront. The canal is UNDER CONSTRUCTION?! I had no idea. Thankfully, because of how wide open I love to shoot, it’s VERY hard to tell that there was almost no water in the canal! When you have a couple this beautiful and light this glowy, you don’t need water!!
We talked about their engagement and this transitional season of their life. I’m so excited to watch these two start their life together and become husband and wife! I just wish they were getting married next week so that we could see them again!! Enjoy some of my favorites of this sweet couple!!!

A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
