Last week we were preparing for another Virginia Tech engagement and I knew that I needed to find a location with mountain views!! So naturally, I asked my Instagram friends! (They are the BEST by the way!:) They gave me incredible recommendations and man did they deliver! We started this shoot at Burruss Hall and then headed to the infamous Duck Pond!! Then, we headed to a gorgeous park with hay bails, trails, mountain views and the most perfect location for a sunset!
I loved getting to know not only Doug and Amanda but their puppies as well!! Oh Man! Hank is 80 lbs!! Michael and I love meeting new kinds of pups and while we never thought we would be bulldog people… you just WAIT until you see this guy’s face! He’s even got a “head tilt” like our Bokeh Boy! Amanda and Doug were amazing during their shoot. I wish that I could take the credit for the “Willow Tree” idea, but that was ALL Doug! And let me tell you when the GROOM says he has an idea that’s risky and borderline crazy, you should let them try it! In this case, it turned out to be one of my FAVORITES from the entire shoot!
Enjoy scrolling through this new engagement! The fall colors just make my heart happy and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with these two next year for their gorgeous wedding!!!

A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
