This is going to be such a strange way to start a blog post… but, I was in the restroom during the reception, and I overheard a conversation. Now, I barely have a chance to grab sips of water during a wedding day and so when dinner begins and we have a few minutes to take a deep breath and use the bathroom, this isn’t the time that I expect to find my “Blog post” inspiration! I overheard two ladies in the bathroom talking about how lovely this wedding was. Their exact words were “This is such a warm and inviting wedding… you can really see the love between the two of them.” Wow! What a compliment. My momma always told me not to eaves drop but I’m really glad I heard this sweet exchange because there is no better way to describe Nick and Megan’s day.
These two met online and the officiant jokingly told the story of how they lied and told their families that they met at Target. Really guys? Target? It didn’t even matter because their families supported their relationship from the beginning. I got a little teary listening to Megan’s dad explain that after years and years of trying to understand all of Megan’s obsessive phases of her childhood (Beanie babies, Disney, Celine Dion… Megan we could be bestie, I had those phases too!) he finally understand her latest obsession…. Nick. He went on to say that he couldn’t have hand picked a better best friend and husband for his daughter and THAT is when the waterworks began.
What a beautiful day! From the teary first look to the toasts that left everyone in a puddle, this day had to have been everything that Nick and Megan dreamed it would be. It was SUCH an honor to be a part of it. Michael and I loved being there for these two all day. It’s such a fun job to be the “behind the scenes” person at a wedding! You really bond with your couples when you’re with them for 8-10 hours straight!! It was sad to say goodbye at the end of the evening but I have been looking forward to this post since we drove away from their reception! Enjoy some of my favorites from their day!!!
Loved this nautical suite!
Her MOH’s striped dress was so much fun!
How sweet! If Bokeh boy was alive during our wedding, I would have wanted a picture like this!!! :)
Besties!
The sweetest first look. He just adores her.
Oh lala!!!

A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
