red and black color scheme… or the Bridsemaid’s tall heels and bold jewelry… but something about this wedding makes me think of Rock and Roll. So even though that wasn’t the theme, I’ll probably always refer to Aaron and Katie’s wedding as the Rock and Roll wedding. It was bright and bold and the weather was absolutely perfect! The guys wished it was a few degrees cooler but they always say that. I’ll take a sunny, 78 degree wedding any day! Aaron and Katie were married at the Historic Kinloch in Caret, Virginia. The ceremony took place outside under the willow tree just as the sunlight was turning into a soft, golden glow. It was beautiful.
Surrounded by their friends and family, they promised to be best friends and love each other forever. I knew I liked these two when Aaron included his promise to watched endless seasons of American Idol with Katie in his vows. YESSSS!!! Any IDOL fans out there?! Even though Scotty wasn’t my favorite at the beginning, I think he’s going to make a great, young country artist and I’m pretty sure Lauren and him are dating… and that makes me SO HAPPY! I called it weeks ago!! If they aren’t, I’ll just keep convincing myself that they are because that would be the perfect ending to a great season! ANYWAY…. Back to this great couple!
.
Aaron and Katie decided to do a first look only a few days before the wedding and I think they would both agree that it was a great decision! They had plenty of portrait time and their nerves settled before the ceremony came. Overall, it was a gorgeous wedding day for these two and I was so honored to be a part of it! Shooting weddings on historic properties is one of my favorite things to do so I was a happy girl last saturday. What made me even happier was when Katie asked “Can I lay down for some portraits? …. Like, in the grass?”. Ummm YES!!!! I knew I loved her! Enjoy my favorites and Aaron and Katie, I hope the honeymoon is fabulous!
Fierce! Love it! How photogenic is she?! This will never get old….
Katie… you’re gorgeous!
The light was crazy! It was bright and yet somewhat diffused… loved it!
