They met in law school eight years ago but that isn’t really where their story began. They knew of each other in school but in Allie’s words, she was the nerd and Will was Mr. Social. It wasn’t until last year that they connected and it was pretty obvious that they were an amazing match. They spent a lot of time getting to know each other even in the midst of being long distance with crazy work schedules. As they were beginning to get to know one another Allie jokingly asked Will to send her his dating resume…. and he did!
I was somehow lucky enough to get to read it when Allie and I were first emailing to see if we were a good fit and it was extremely entertaining! How could a girl say no to a guy with access to adorable Labradoodles through his mom and sister, and who’s office smells of rich mahogany and leather bound books? It gave me a great preview into Will’s personality and it made me 100% sure that we would be a great fit. If anything, I knew that Will and Michael could share in their love for Anchorman and would have something in common!
Another reason that I knew that we would love working with these two is because we actually photographed Allie’s sister’s wedding years ago! Mike and Kristin’s wedding seems like it was so long ago but it’s one we will never forget! It’s such an honor to be invited back into another exciting season with a family that we already know.
Enjoy Will and Allie’s beautiful fall engagement session at the University of Richmond! We even took a few pics downtown in Carytown since that is the location of their first date!
Have you ever started a session, camera in hand, and suddenly felt stuck? Your couple is standing there, looking at you, waiting for direction… and your mind goes blank.
Have you ever tried to sit down with your spouse to talk about dreams, goals, and vision—only for it to turn into frustration or misalignment? If so, you’re not alone. Vision casting in marriage is hard because it brings up deeper fears, beliefs, and unspoken dynamics that many couples don’t even realize are at play.
Success—it’s a word we hear all the time. But what does it really mean? Is it about financial security? Status? Owning a dream home or taking extravagant vacations?
When you think about your business, do you see it as simply a job—or something more?
Today, I’m diving into an experience that was nothing like I anticipated: my digital detox in December. If you’ve ever considered taking a break from the noise of the online world, you might relate to my journey—the good, the surprising, and the, well, completely unplanned.
The wedding industry has faced unique challenges recently, with inflation affecting budgets and couples cutting costs. If you’re a wedding photographer feeling the pinch, don’t worry—2025 doesn’t have to be a slow year.
