Nick started his vows and I could tell that they were going to be good. All vows are good, but sometimes you witness vows that make you tear up even though you barely know the couple! He explained that the girl that he sat across from on their first date had become the girl who would spend hours helping organize files at his grandparents house…. and that would ride elephants in Thailand beside him… and who would make grocery shopping fun. You could tell just by his few sentences that Laura has changed his life and that he adores her. I have so much respect and admiration for grooms who can verbalize just how much they cherish the love of their life!! Nick was definitely one of those grooms!
We spent all morning hoping and praying that the rain would stop. All week people had been using the term “wash out” when they talked about the weather for Saturday and I would be lying if I said that we weren’t a little intimidated!! We pulled into the gorgeous Mill at Fine Creek and the rain hadn’t stopped. Laura put on her dress and the rain hadn’t stopped. We were about to do the first look and everyone needed to know “outside or inside” and the rain hadn’t stopped. Everyone was a little nervous but then all of a sudden, within a matter of 10 minutes, the mist cleared and the getting ready room started to brighten up! The storm was missing us!!! It was a miracle!
We spent the rest of their wedding day celebrating and capturing so many beautiful moments as they tied the knot and promised to love one another forever! Enjoy this gorgeous day and congratulations to the newlyweds!!!! Nick and Laura we have loved getting to know you this year and we’re so excited for you!! Enjoy your honeymoon AND reliving your day through this post!
