She has got to be, hands down, the most EXCITED bride I’ve worked with in 2013! Katherine’s excitement for her wedding day is just amazing! From the ceremony planning to the intricate details of her reception, she planned it all with so much joy!! When I arrived on the big day, she was surrounded by her best friends in a hotel room that smelled of hairspray and perfume. Dresses were being steamed, hair was being curled, makeup was being applied and then all of a sudden, Katherine walks in from the other room in tears. Like any good bridesmaid would do, the girls immediately “Whats wrong?!” and Kat just laughs and says “It just hit me all at once!”. The reality of what was about to happen was becoming very REAL! Kathryn was just a few short hours away from marrying the love of her life and high school sweetheart! Kat was the little girl dreaming of her wedding day and now it was finally here!!
As Matt promised to love her through the amazing seasons of their life and the tough seasons, Kat squeezed his hands and was all smiles, even through her tears of joy. Katherine promised to love and care for Matt forever… AND to always cheer for the Redskins. :) Their ceremony was beautiful and powerful. I love seeing older couples holding hands while they are watching another young couple promise forever to one another. It was a wonderful reminder that we were made for this. Marriage is such a beautiful thing and I couldn’t be happier for these two and their new journey together!
Michael and I loved being a part of this wedding day and even though it was HOT, they have some beautiful portraits! I can’t wait to share this BRIGHT wedding with you!! And a huge thanks to Anna Burke for running the show!! We always LOVE getting to spend the day with her!!!

Success—it’s a word we hear all the time. But what does it really mean? Is it about financial security? Status? Owning a dream home or taking extravagant vacations?
