So Wedding Wednesday is LATE this week! I realize it is actually already THURSDAY (gasp!) in VA right now and so for all of you type A’s that like to be on schedule, I apologize.
This week has been a whirlwind! I will be blogging about my amazing experience at WPPI later this week but today I want to encourage all brides out there to be BOLD in their wedding planning! During this week I was surrounded by thousands of photographers and the more images I saw, the more I desired wedding details that are WACKY! It sounds so strange, I know. However, weddings that are bold, vibrant and unique are the weddings I enjoy the most. As I continue to plan my own wedding, I am constantly trying to make sure I’m not sticking with the stereotypical decor and that I am making it my own! I want teal shoes, feathered headbands for some bridesmaids and a bouquet that is out of this world!
So as I wandered through rows upon rows of vendors this week at the tradeshow, I realized that I wanted to encourage my brides to take risks when it comes to their wedding! I have a dear sweet friend getting married in August and she is totally changing up her color scheme! I’m so proud and excited for her! It is going to be absolutely stunning when it all comes together!
So be bold! Be unique! Make your wedding your own and be proud of it! OWN IT! If you want to wear hot pink shoes, wear them! I will have images coming next week that are proof that it is HOTT. Here is a sneak peek from a session I shot today with the lovely and talented Stephanie Fay!

Success—it’s a word we hear all the time. But what does it really mean? Is it about financial security? Status? Owning a dream home or taking extravagant vacations?
When you think about your business, do you see it as simply a job—or something more?
Today, I’m diving into an experience that was nothing like I anticipated: my digital detox in December. If you’ve ever considered taking a break from the noise of the online world, you might relate to my journey—the good, the surprising, and the, well, completely unplanned.
The wedding industry has faced unique challenges recently, with inflation affecting budgets and couples cutting costs. If you’re a wedding photographer feeling the pinch, don’t worry—2025 doesn’t have to be a slow year.
Life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? Over the last few months, I’ve been on a medical rollercoaster that I never saw coming.
