the hard part…. picking out invitations. I remember DREADING this part of the planning process. I knew I wanted to be unique and do something different but I had NO clue how to do it! I also had no ideas for the design. Figuring out invitations can be frustrating to someone who has never even thought about stationary before! How are brides supposed to know about “Letterpress” and how many envelopes are proper, etc. etc. (I don’t even know the envelope rule!) My invitations were very non-traditional. After I figured out what I wanted, making it happen wasn’t too complicated. One of my awesome brides just
emailed me about finding inspiration for invitations and so I thought a Wedding Wednesday post may be helpful to share with everyone! So! There are numerous options for brides. You can design and print your own, you can pay someone to create a design and then you print it somewhere, you can pay someone to do it all! or you can order a pre-designed template invitation and just customize the writing. Whew! Overwhelmed yet?! If you are wanting to do it all yourself, you’ll need to know some resources before starting. You will need a way to print your actual invitation, a company that sells envelopes and software/knowledge of how to design something on the computer. I wouldn’t suggest doing everything yourself if you do not enjoy crafty things or graphic design! haha It’s a lot of work! Here are the resources I used for MY INVITATIONS:
.
JAPRINTS: Printed my invitations, RSVP Cards and programs
PAPERANDMORE: For my folded cards and envelopes
Some other resources:
ZAZZLE: Custom Postage and stickers and more!
ETSY: Designers and Templates

If you’re not crafty or computer savvy…..I would gather a TON of inspiration that you can find on these blogs and then pass them on to a designer who can make your design come to life! If you really just want something pretty and classy, there are so many beautiful templates out there that can be custom matched to your colors! Speaking of beautiful invitations that matched the wedding colors perfectly… here are a few shots of Emily and John’s wedding invitations! (Their post is coming tomorrow! Get excited!!!!!!) I LOVE these….maybe because they’re TEAL and gorgeous!! Even the stamps match! Seriously?! If I was to get married all over again….my invitations would look like this! I wish I could tell you EXACTLY who she ordered these from… but she’s on her honeymoon, so we’ll just have to wait on that:):).
Have you ever tried to sit down with your spouse to talk about dreams, goals, and vision—only for it to turn into frustration or misalignment? If so, you’re not alone. Vision casting in marriage is hard because it brings up deeper fears, beliefs, and unspoken dynamics that many couples don’t even realize are at play.
Success—it’s a word we hear all the time. But what does it really mean? Is it about financial security? Status? Owning a dream home or taking extravagant vacations?
When you think about your business, do you see it as simply a job—or something more?
Today, I’m diving into an experience that was nothing like I anticipated: my digital detox in December. If you’ve ever considered taking a break from the noise of the online world, you might relate to my journey—the good, the surprising, and the, well, completely unplanned.
The wedding industry has faced unique challenges recently, with inflation affecting budgets and couples cutting costs. If you’re a wedding photographer feeling the pinch, don’t worry—2025 doesn’t have to be a slow year.
Life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? Over the last few months, I’ve been on a medical rollercoaster that I never saw coming.
