This past Thursday we started our journey to Miami and made a pit stop in Raleigh, NC for the annual SW Launch Party! This is always a fun highlight for us in the fall! We have so many sweet friends that we NEVER get to see until this party happens and so the last two years it has felt more like a reunion than a launch party! I think the SW gals would agree that that’s ok! They are all about family, friends, relationships and marriages. I love that about Southern Weddings and all of the women behind this amazing brand.
We traveled down with Buddy and Jill and it was so much fun to be there with them because they are not only photographers, they were also representing Big Spring Farm! Big Spring has just a “Southern Weddings” feel to it so they felt right at home! I also loved getting to introduce them so some of our Raleigh friends that we adore like Nancy and Will! So thankful for the way God writes the stories of our lives. We have so much in common with these friends and that always makes our time together so wonderful!!
We have a little picture in SW V7 and it’s not of a wedding…. it’s of Michael and I! ha!! If I had known that this shot would end up in print, I would have put jeans on! hahaha We’re honored:) And we are also so thankful that Dogwood Black used one of Bev and Craig’s images for their full page ad! Also! On a totally unrelated note, we loved getting our copy of What’s Up Weddings in the mail with our engagement feature! Congrats Michael and Brittany!! (AND there’s a little Rose Gold goodness in there with florals and styling by Amanda Veronee!!)

Vision casting in marriage is hard because it brings up deeper fears, beliefs, and unspoken dynamics that many couples don’t even realize are at play.
Success—it’s a word we hear all the time. But what does it really mean? Is it about financial security? Status? Owning a dream home or taking extravagant vacations?
When you think about your business, do you see it as simply a job—or something more?
Today, I’m diving into an experience that was nothing like I anticipated: my digital detox in December. If you’ve ever considered taking a break from the noise of the online world, you might relate to my journey—the good, the surprising, and the, well, completely unplanned.
The wedding industry has faced unique challenges recently, with inflation affecting budgets and couples cutting costs. If you’re a wedding photographer feeling the pinch, don’t worry—2025 doesn’t have to be a slow year.
Life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? Over the last few months, I’ve been on a medical rollercoaster that I never saw coming.
