I’m editing…. ALL DAY LONG. And I’m really into it. I haven’t eaten lunch, I haven’t left my office (except to get a DMD) and I FORGOT to BLOG!! What?! Yea…. that really happened. I’m normally up and blogging first thing in the morning… or at least working on something that is blog related. Today I guess I’m such a little overly focused on getting this wedding DONE. However, it is Wedding Wednesday and I don’t want to leave you hanging…. so here is a little post about the “R” word….. RAIN. No one… and I mean NO ONE wants to even mention the “R” word on their wedding day!
Brides are scared to death of it and they let the weather forecast freak them out 2 weeks before their wedding! (I’m guilty of this!) This causes a TON of unnecessary stress! This Wedding Wednesday post has one purpose and that purpose is to take the “scariness” out of the “R” word. Rain happens and we have NO control over it. Brides will email and text me before their wedding and they are petrified of the forecast! “It’s going to be cloudy and 20% chance of RAIN!!! AH!”. Well, to all of my future brides out there… here is the big announcement…. I PREFER CLOUDY DAYS!!! I do! Rainy days create AMAZING light… it’s like God put a giant soft box over the sun and said “Here Katelyn, have fun with this today!”. I’ll take a cloudy, rainy day any time! I know rain isn’t ideal for outdoor ceremonies and plans have to change sometimes… but when it comes to pictures, I want ALL of my brides to know that CLOUDS and RAIN are O.K.! I promise. You will have more flexibility with the light on your wedding day and that makes it 10x easier on me! So relax, stop looking at the weather every 5 seconds and rest assured that your pictures are going to be amazing… rain or shine!!
