I have never done a maternity session before! Isn’t that crazy?! 2 years, never done a baby belly session. It’s true, weddings are my first love. I get so so excited about wedding days. The dress, the shoes, the first look, the love, the portraits…. I love it all! However, I also LOVE getting to know my brides and forming relationships with them. I met Tim and Emily over a year ago for their engagement session and I fell in love with them. They were married last August at the Historic Kinloch and after spending the day with them and their families, I felt like part of the family! They were so welcoming and excited for their pictures!
I left their wedding feeling like a long time friend and I love that feeling. People have asked me about my “business model” and my long term “business plan”….uhhh. I’m so not a business major…but I CAN tell you what I want my business to look like. I want it to look like Tim and Emily. I want to continue to have clients that I LOVE, clients that become my friends, and clients that email me and are so excited to tell me that they’re PREGNANT! Ah! When Em emailed me, I was beyond excited!!! How awesome is this? My first thought was 1. Emily is going to be the cutest little pregnant momma ever and 2. how lucky am I that I get to celebrate and capture these monumental moments of their life?! I love my job. It’s awesome, just saying.

So Em, I know it was raining and gross outside during the session but girl, you rocked it! What an awesome privilege it was for me to spend time with you and your little bump! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life! I can’t wait to see this little guy! Much love!
Ohhh and meet cute little Austin! I met Tim and Emily’s little ball of energy at the wedding last year and he is just precious!
Oh! One of my favorites! How awesome is that dress?!
Hope you enjoyed a little something different on the blog today! Wedding Wednesday is coming tonight!
Have you ever tried to sit down with your spouse to talk about dreams, goals, and vision—only for it to turn into frustration or misalignment? If so, you’re not alone. Vision casting in marriage is hard because it brings up deeper fears, beliefs, and unspoken dynamics that many couples don’t even realize are at play.
Success—it’s a word we hear all the time. But what does it really mean? Is it about financial security? Status? Owning a dream home or taking extravagant vacations?

Today, I’m diving into an experience that was nothing like I anticipated: my digital detox in December. If you’ve ever considered taking a break from the noise of the online world, you might relate to my journey—the good, the surprising, and the, well, completely unplanned.
The wedding industry has faced unique challenges recently, with inflation affecting budgets and couples cutting costs. If you’re a wedding photographer feeling the pinch, don’t worry—2025 doesn’t have to be a slow year.
Life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? Over the last few months, I’ve been on a medical rollercoaster that I never saw coming.
