6 YEARS of shooting, I’ve ordered quite a few albums. I’ve been to a few tradeshows and I’ve seen a lot of different album companies. Now I’m not blogging and saying that any company is worse than the other because honestly, I’ve only ever ordered ONE other sample album from one other company besides Leather Craftsmen. I’ll be the first to admit that there are some VERY desirable aspects to other album companies…. streamlined ordering systems, crazy fast turn around times, community within their users, etc.
However, I have found that the quality of Leather Craftsmen‘s books are hard to compare. They are just beautiful books! Hand made, gilded pages, genuine leather. They aren’t cheap… but they are amazing books. The Legacy Albums that we offer our clients are top notch and I feel very confident saying that because our OWN wedding album was made by Leather Craftsmen!! Some of the key differences that I’ve noticed about LC books and other company’s products are 1. The thickness of the pages 2. Gilding (A layer that protects the outer edge of the pages so that they last longer) 3. Cover material! Their “Designer Leather” is the real deal. Most of our albums end up being “Cedar” or “Mahogany” and the color and texture is perfect! and 4. Color. I’ve always been happy with the way my images look printed in LC spreads! Now I don’t get paid to say all of this… I genuinely love what I receive from Leather Craftsmen. Now, I’ll be the first to admit that their ordering system needs some sprucing up but I’m willing to live with that because I love the final product so much! Here are some shots of our most recent album! LOVE Jared and Courtney’s gorgeous book!!!
Ps. If you LOVE these spreads… I can’t take the credit!! ALIGN helps me with my album design process and I couldn’t LOVE this design that they created any more!!! One of my favorites from this year!
