Through email & in our KJ Education Facebook group, this question is asked DAILY!
And I wish there was an answer I could easily reply back!! But it’s so much more than just giving you a number!
There are a lot of variables that can change the price between one photographer to another.. There’s not one number that works for everyone!
But are you wondering if you’re charging too much.. Or too little.. There’s 10 things that you need to consider when making your price!
How are you showcasing your work? Is your portfolio curated to what you want to showcase versus every image you’ve ever captured? You don’t want to overwhelm but show your best images to the world!
Does your website match what you’re showcasing on Instagram? You want to stay consistent so they’re not questioning what kind of photos they’ll get!
A brand needs to match the kind of clients you are trying to reach! Does your logo and business name match what you are showcasing?
Did you recently change your prices? If so, that is significant! You have to give it time to let that change set in. At least 6 months!
What have your past years of business looked like? Were you completely booked last year, but failed to market well and that’s why you only have 5 weddings this year? I need to see what has happened in the past!
Are people inquiring and then going a different route? Or are you not receiving new inquiries? Something could be happening with your client experience that is giving them second thoughts!
How long does it take for you to respond? What does your response look like? If you want a SIMPLE way to WOW your potential clients, our KJ Pricing Guide is the easiest way to do that!
You need to do research on what the industry norms are! Different areas can have completely different norms for what a typical cost would be.
How do you make your clients feel? Do they walk away RAVING about you and telling their family/ friends about it? This can make or break your business!
Your business should look different than what it did when you first started! So as you continue to grow, your prices will as well.
