worth mentioning. This is possibly the smallest feature in the WORLD! However, I’m not complaining. It’s always fun to see your work published somewhere, especially in a national magazine…. no matter how large or SMALL the feature is. Laurie’s beautiful bouquet was featured in Get Married magazine and I was thrilled! But the real praise should go to the wonderfully talented Holly Chapple. Holly is a florist in the DC area that has a heart of gold and the most amazing creativity imaginable. (She is also a mother of 7! Wonder woman!) A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege of shooting some tablescapes with Holly and Janie from The Brides Cafe.
Janie was my florist for 101010 and let me just say, I love this lady! Janie has so many incredible things happening for her and her business right now and I’m so thankful that we were able to have her as a part of our wedding! Together these two flower-loving women are a force to be reckoned with! I was amazed at what they could create in one afternoon!! (I’ll have to share some of those images after they’re featured!) So basically, the purpose of this post is to simply highlight these two extraordinary women who are doing awesome things in the wedding industry! Not only are they beautifying weddings all over the state, but they are also pouring into the younger generation of wedding vendors as well….younger vendors like me… and I appreciate them!
.
So have a fabulous Tuesday and get excited for a VERY Christmas-y Wedding Wednesday tomorrow! Ps. Holly’s bouquet is the shot on the bottom right…view more images of it HERE!
Have you ever tried to sit down with your spouse to talk about dreams, goals, and vision—only for it to turn into frustration or misalignment? If so, you’re not alone. Vision casting in marriage is hard because it brings up deeper fears, beliefs, and unspoken dynamics that many couples don’t even realize are at play.
Success—it’s a word we hear all the time. But what does it really mean? Is it about financial security? Status? Owning a dream home or taking extravagant vacations?
When you think about your business, do you see it as simply a job—or something more?
Today, I’m diving into an experience that was nothing like I anticipated: my digital detox in December. If you’ve ever considered taking a break from the noise of the online world, you might relate to my journey—the good, the surprising, and the, well, completely unplanned.
The wedding industry has faced unique challenges recently, with inflation affecting budgets and couples cutting costs. If you’re a wedding photographer feeling the pinch, don’t worry—2025 doesn’t have to be a slow year.
Life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? Over the last few months, I’ve been on a medical rollercoaster that I never saw coming.
