have been so many amazing new coaching friends that have come into our life the last two months! I thought that during the down season, I would have more free days for “ask anything” posts and more personal posts but I have YET to have a week like that! Between travels and weekend adventures and off season engagement shoots, the blogging schedule has stayed full! I’m excited to share a beauuutiful wintery engagement session later this week but today I’m showing off some coaching friends!
I’m excited for you to meet our coaching attendees from November, December AND January!! These photographers met with me in my office, joined together for lunch in town and then shot some head shots in two locations. The first location is a parking garage and the second location is just the side of the road in a field near our home. Nothing special or fancy… but if you can create beautiful portraits in an area that isn’t very attractive… that’s a great skill to have in this line of work!! So I hope you enjoy seeing some of my favorite images from the headshot portion of the day!! I absolutely LOVE coaching days and I look forward to them every month. I’m excited to introduce you to Kelly, Kayla, Kari, Matoli, Beth, Brittney & Mike!!! Enjoy!!

Today, I’m diving into an experience that was nothing like I anticipated: my digital detox in December. If you’ve ever considered taking a break from the noise of the online world, you might relate to my journey—the good, the surprising, and the, well, completely unplanned.
The wedding industry has faced unique challenges recently, with inflation affecting budgets and couples cutting costs. If you’re a wedding photographer feeling the pinch, don’t worry—2025 doesn’t have to be a slow year.
Life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? Over the last few months, I’ve been on a medical rollercoaster that I never saw coming.
