Every session has something that is unique about it! This session was going GREAT until a security guard told us that you can’t shoot around the largest Catholic Church in America! Luckily, we had already gotten all of our must-have shots done and we were on a roll! Tom and Meagan picked up on the poses quickly and that meant that we got a lot accomplished before we were told that professional photography wasn’t allowed! It worked out perfectly. We casually crossed the street and used some pretty locations around the Basilica!
I had a sweet planner in DC email me and notify me that the cherry blossoms were blooming a MONTH early and that I may want to notify all of my couples who were expecting them in their images. First of all, how amazing is that? I’m so honored that other industry professionals are looking out for us and 2. Meagan was completely cool with it! After spending an hour and a half with her I realized that she is cool about EVERYTHING. Tom and Meagan are easy going and so trusting. It’s never easy posing in front of a camera with college students walking by and yet they made it look easy!
Michael and I loved having some time to get to know these two and we can’t wait to celebrate with them on their wedding day this fall and meet their families!! Enjoy this sweet engagement session!

Success—it’s a word we hear all the time. But what does it really mean? Is it about financial security? Status? Owning a dream home or taking extravagant vacations?
When you think about your business, do you see it as simply a job—or something more?
Today, I’m diving into an experience that was nothing like I anticipated: my digital detox in December. If you’ve ever considered taking a break from the noise of the online world, you might relate to my journey—the good, the surprising, and the, well, completely unplanned.
