You know what I’m realizing? I’m realizing I am loving getting to see people I love and miss in this very busy season of our life.
Caroline and I grew up together. She has literally known me through every. single. season. of my entire life. She bit me in the church nursery, we never missed a summer of VBS or mission trips, she is the only person I truly remember having memorable sleepovers with (maybe that’s because we slept in a boat parked in the backyard… that’s hard to forget!), and she has walked through all of the high highs and low lows alongside of me.
This post seems surreal. If you have followed me for a while, you may have seen their engagement session, their wedding and NOW, I get to introduce you to Brandon and Caroline’s precious family. They live in the most amazing piece of land on the Rappahannock. Their cabin on the shore is them to a “T”. It’s quaint, it’s quiet, it’s peaceful and it’s so natural. Michael and I loved getting a chance to slip up north for an evening with these four! Enjoy some of my favorites!
This entire session will be featured in our Behind the Scenes membership!
If you would like to watch and learn from behind the scenes, this shoot will be featured in KJ All Access soon! KJ All Access memberships include over 40+ episodes and dozens and dozens of hours of BTS training. Have you ever tried to sit down with your spouse to talk about dreams, goals, and vision—only for it to turn into frustration or misalignment? If so, you’re not alone. Vision casting in marriage is hard because it brings up deeper fears, beliefs, and unspoken dynamics that many couples don’t even realize are at play.
Success—it’s a word we hear all the time. But what does it really mean? Is it about financial security? Status? Owning a dream home or taking extravagant vacations?
When you think about your business, do you see it as simply a job—or something more?
Today, I’m diving into an experience that was nothing like I anticipated: my digital detox in December. If you’ve ever considered taking a break from the noise of the online world, you might relate to my journey—the good, the surprising, and the, well, completely unplanned.
The wedding industry has faced unique challenges recently, with inflation affecting budgets and couples cutting costs. If you’re a wedding photographer feeling the pinch, don’t worry—2025 doesn’t have to be a slow year.
Life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? Over the last few months, I’ve been on a medical rollercoaster that I never saw coming.
