It really feels like we were just walking around the beautiful campus of Virginia Tech in the fall for Eric and Courtney’s engagement session. I knew that their wedding day would be somewhat tied back to their VT roots but when the priest even gave a Hokie shout out, I knew that we were in the midst of some die-hard alumni! We love Virginia Tech because both my sister and my brother went to school there. However, I think Tech becomes even MORE special to those who find their soulmate there!
Eric and Courtney had a gorgeous wedding day at the Mill at Fine Creek… one of our favorite venues! I loved so many moments but my FAVORITE aspect of their day was their first look. You could tell Eric was a little bit nervous right before he turned around to see her. I could see him taking big, deep breaths. The sweet thing was that as I was walking with Courtney, we stopped right before we entered the area where he was and she quietly said “Oh no, I’m getting emotional”. I told her that that was one regret that I had from my own wedding. I held back tears for the sake of makeup and I wish that I hadn’t. Courtney came around the corner, called his name and he turned around…. queue the tears!! It was just the sweetest moment.
Being a part of this amazing wedding was such an honor. We love these two families and we loved having the opportunity to serve them this past weekend! You’re going to love this wedding! Enjoy my favorites and congrats to Eric and Courtney!!!
