The most beautiful thing about a wedding day for me is seeing a couple realize that they just started a brand new chapter of their life TOGETHER! David and Alyson’s anticipation for the moment when they were introduced as husband and wife made my heart so happy. These two are so in love and so joyful when they are around each other. Their pastor explained that these two are the type of couple that enhance other people’s lives by just being in them!! Michael and I call those “life-giving” couples. What a beautiful gift it is to have a relationship that points people back to God in so many ways.
As Alyson walked down the aisle, David shook his head ever so slightly… almost like he couldn’t believe that he was about to marry this gorgeous girl. Alyson was a flawless bride. She was so stunning that I had a hard time stopping portrait time because she’s so photogenic!! Their ceremony was moving. The music, the vows and communion all pointed towards God’s love for us and the blessing that marriage is. Whenever a ceremony leaves me feeling extra thankful for my own marriage and my relationship with Michael, you know it was a good one!! :)
It was truly an honor to be a part of not only David and Alyson’s wedding but also this season of their life. I told Alyson that even though they are moving to Boston for David to attend Harvard, I hope we can stay in touch. I can’t wait to see all that God has in store for their marriage and life together!! Enjoy this incredible Country Club of Virginia wedding that took place right here in Richmond! I may be biased, but I think we have gorgeous venues here in RVA!
In LOVE with these Kate Spades!
Oh Allie, you are STUNNING!
Her MOH (and sister in law’s) first look! Couldn’t have been sweeter!
