How special is this?! Another sweet KJ Couple turned KJ Family and I had the honored of capturing this fleeting season for them!
Wasn’t I JUST photographing their wedding?! Or should I say “Weddings”?! Hunter and Leah had TWO wedding days because of Covid and that meant that we got to see them and their families two times more than we normally do with our KJ Couples. It was a gift because we adore this family and we were so excited to get to see them again for family portraits! Fun story, we were actually in the airport flying out on a work trip and saw Leah’s mom, dad and younger sister. They were about to head to a tropical vacay with the whole family and they were bursting with excitement because Leah had JUST found out that she was pregnant!! I don’t know how we deserved to get to know that precious news so early but we have been cheering them on ever since!!!! Baby Beatrice is just a DOLL! You’re about to see proof! Enjoy this sweet family session at Tuckahoe Plantation!!!! I just loved every minute of seeing these two as parents! It’s so natural for them. I was shooting quickly (as I tend to do, especially during family sessions!) and I blurted out “Aw Leah you look like a mom!” and Michael was like “What?! You can’t say that!” and then I realized that probably didn’t sound like a compliment… but what I meant was, being a momma looks so natural on her. She seems to have effortlessly evolved into this new role and it’s just beautiful! We couldn’t be happier for them!!! Enjoy my favorites and if you want to see their gorgeous wedding, click HERE!
As a professional photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless family portraits over the years. Each session presents a unique set of challenges, from managing energetic children to finding the perfect backdrops.
As a photographer, I’ve often found myself in situations where the location seemed lackluster or uninspiring. It’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of the perfect setting, but the reality is that we don’t always have the luxury of shooting in the most visually stunning locations.
We rescheduled this shoot with the Smith family once because of a threat of rain. It wasn’t a totally horrible forecast but if there’s one thing that I learned about Colleen when I photographed her wedding, it’s that she loves the GLOW!
What’s better than doing a family session for one KJ couple? Photographing TWO and adding in Nonna and Grandpa!
As a professional wedding photographer, I’ve encountered my fair share of editing challenges on the job.
Have you ever closed out of Lightroom unhappy with the end result?
