This day has been a long time in the making. We booked this sweet couple back in 2019 and we have been looking forward to their wedding day ever since. However, because of unforeseen challenges and the pandemic, they had to wait over three years for this day.
After all that Matt and Brooke have endured these past few years, they deserved an incredible day celebrating the beginning of their new life together. All of their changes and pivots led them to the Parlour at Manns Chapel and it was so perfect. It was such a quaint, southern venue that was the perfect size for their intimate wedding. 85 of their closest family and friends gathered under a clear tent and celebrated alongside of them. Even with a surprise thunderstorm, they had a beautiful day and it was an honor to capture it all. Michael and I felt so loved and welcomed. Sometimes I still don’t understand how we have been so blessed with such incredible KJ Couples. Brooke said during her wedding, “I will literally do anything you suggest!” and I know she would have. She trusted me completely and that honestly makes such a huge difference in how a day feels. It was a joy to create and capture their day in a KJ-way and I can’t wait to show you these images! Enjoy reliving their wedding day with me visually!!

As a professional photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless family portraits over the years. Each session presents a unique set of challenges, from managing energetic children to finding the perfect backdrops.
As a photographer, I’ve often found myself in situations where the location seemed lackluster or uninspiring. It’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of the perfect setting, but the reality is that we don’t always have the luxury of shooting in the most visually stunning locations.
We rescheduled this shoot with the Smith family once because of a threat of rain. It wasn’t a totally horrible forecast but if there’s one thing that I learned about Colleen when I photographed her wedding, it’s that she loves the GLOW!
What’s better than doing a family session for one KJ couple? Photographing TWO and adding in Nonna and Grandpa!
As a professional wedding photographer, I’ve encountered my fair share of editing challenges on the job.
Have you ever closed out of Lightroom unhappy with the end result?
