There are so many factors to consider when choosing a portrait lens:
- Versatility
- Weight
- Cost
- Focal Length
… the list goes on!
So it’s not a surprise that I see this question a lot!
‘I’ve saved up enough money to buy ONE lens, which one would you choose?!”
We hear this mostly from wedding photographers because there are SO many lens options to choose from! More specifically, there are so many PORTRAIT lenses to choose from!
If you’re wanting that HIGH COMPRESSION look but also want your lens to serve MULTIPLE PURPOSES on a wedding day, this video is going to help you make your decision!!!
This week we are putting FOUR LENSES to the test!!:
- 100mm MACRO (RF)
- 135mm 2.0 (EF)
- 70-200mm 2.8 (RF)
- 85mm 1.2 (RF)
If you’ve watched any videos from me before you know…. the 85 mm is my FAVORITE portrait lens…. BUT it’s not very versatile!!
So we’re putting these different lenses to the test to see how they compare for portraits!
During the video, we take the lenses outside and frame the shot the exact same to compare each one! While some of the results I expected, there were some things that I thought were interesting in comparing these!
If you’re wondering which lens to invest in next, and how they compare, this is the video for you!
