The Workshop Experience

  • September 2017 | Behind The Scenes

We just wrapped up our FOURTH workshop in our new house!! I can’t believe it! 57 Photographers from different countries and different states have spent two days in our living room during 2017, and have become a part of our family. We prayed for this space to be used in this way and all we have ever wanted is for our workshop attendees to feel at home. From home cooked meals to snuggling under blankets with Bokeh Boy, we want these photographers to feel welcomed, loved and completely comfortable. Maybe it was the gorgeous styled shoot or the perfect weather or the fun group of photographers, but this one was one of my favorites!

Scotland Family Portraits

  • Akins & Powers Family

Today I’m sharing some beautiful family portraits that we took of our friends in Scotland! We dedicated one night to portraits, and we had to move FAST because there were so many of us, and because there were MIDGIES everywhere! (Scottish mosquitos that are vicious!!) However, despite the rush, the cold, and the bug bites, I think it’s safe to say that the views and the colors and the final product made up for all of that!! It was gorgeous! We now have our family portraits on display in our foyer, and I’m obsessed with them!!!!

Everly’s Seventh Month

I’ll spare you the “How is she SEVEN months old” lines. Lets face it, it just flies by. I find myself trying so hard to focus on little things that I love that she does. Like I almost want to freeze these little moments and never move forward, because I love them so much! But like my Nanny says, you don’t want to wish for that, because the fact that she’s growing and changing so fast means that she’s healthy. Speaking of being healthy, Evy’s health this past month has taken us on an emotional rollercoaster.
