This day was a dream. It was beautiful from a visual perspective but what really captivated me were the priceless emotions that seemed to keep flowing throughout every single part of the celebration!!
There were so many moments throughout Tim and Megan’s wedding day that I thought to myself, “This is why I love my job.” Between the bride’s first looks with Grandma, Dad and the Groom, my mascara was smeared and a mess. This entire day was full of beautiful moments that were inspiring for us as young parents. I can only hope that one day when it’s Evy’s turn to get married that we will have the privilege of praying with her, crying with her, laughing with her and cheering her on like Jay and Mary Beth did for Megan on Saturday. These are dear friends of ours and it was such a joy to capture this monumental day in their parenting journey. Becoming a parent myself has made me cherish wedding days from a completely different perspective. Watching your child marry someone who you have prayed for their entire lives has to be overwhelmingly emotional, rewarding and surreal.
Megan and Tim’s joy and love for the Lord radiated throughout every single part of their day. You’ll be able to see what I’m talking about as you scroll through these images! There was this amazing balance of tears and laughter that hung in the atmosphere of the day from beginning to end. It started with Mary Beth praying with Megan before she helped her get into her wedding dress. Then it continued when dad saw her for the first time. Then the tears flowed again when Tim and Megan read their letters to one another during their first look… and the laughter came back when the DJ decided to do a sound check to “YEAH!” by Usher right as they were wrapping up their prayer together and it just felt hilariously timed. Then Grandma saw Megan and bawled and I cried thinking about how this will be my mom when Evy is getting married one day! These type of emotions flowed throughout the entire day and it was so evident that the Lord was there. The gift of marriage, the correlation of marriage to the gospel, the commitment to sacrificial love through highs and lows, the beginning of a new family…. it’s just all so beautiful and it felt like the most perfect way to end our 2021 wedding season.
Tim and Megan, I hope Charleston is just amazing. We’re praying for the most beautiful first year of marriage for you both. You are both such lights and we can’t wait to see how God uses you and your marriage and your family in powerful ways!!!! Enjoy reliving your day through your images!!!

People always say “Katelyn, how did you grow to this level?!” and the truth is, it all started with a blog. Blogging was TRULY my beginning! A decade ago, I was posting almost EVERYDAY and you can still find these posts today!
If you’re a photographer, it might seem hard to document your own family. Isn’t that ironic?! We spend our days documenting other’s lives but it’s hard to document our own!
When a new model or version comes out, it’s always tempting to upgrade and buy the next best thing! But do you really NEED it?!
A LOT has happened in 2022! Some things that we expected and others that threw us a curveball.. but I want to take a look back to see what worked well for us and what didn’t work so well!
If you’re a wedding photographer, chances are, you are VERY familiar with how much goes into creating a smooth, photo-friendly wedding day.
Have you ever thought, ‘I just can’t do this anymore!!! I’m DONE!’
