Maybe it’s that part of their story that makes me feel so attached to them. Or maybe it’s just the simple fact that they are truly some of the world’s most kind and genuine people. They were both raised by incredible parents (who we also know and love) and they have the sweetest sibling dynamics. Speaking of siblings, we photographed Coleman’s sisters wedding AND Sarah’s sisters wedding! I’m sure if you look through those old blog posts you’ll see Coleman and Sarah as you scroll through the images. Being a part of other Callaway and Johnson family weddings made this wedding feel like such a sweet reunion. The babies of both families are married and don’t know if there was any way that their celebration could have been more spectacular!! From the decor to the Chapel to the Italian lace on her wedding dress, it was all so perfect.

However, the most memorable part of the day for me was when Sarah was coming down the aisle and I was squatting in front of her momma and she put her hand on my knee and said with tears in her eyes “This. This is the sweetness of life”. I could have fallen a part into a puddle right then and there but I had to stay focused and make sure the processional was in focus!! But what an honor it is to capture one of someone else’s sweetest experiences in their life for them. It’s so much more than a job, being a wedding photographer is a calling.

While I may not shoot as much as I used to, I was running around Coleman and Sarah’s wedding day like I was still in my hay day of shooting 40+ weddings a year! It’s something you can never forget when you’ve spent 16+ years mastering it! As I scroll through these images, I’m overwhelmed with so much gratitude and joy. Coleman and Sarah, thank you for trusting US with your wedding day!! We love you both so much and it was such a privilege to get to be with you on the first day of the rest of your life!!
