better late than never, right?! We have been decorating our home for Christmas sporadically throughout the month and I FINALLY took some time to photograph it this morning! Decorating for Christmas has been quite a process… a FUN process in my opinion but Michael may have a different take on it! :) I’m just kidding, Michael is such a trooper. When I say “Ya know, I think we need some more twigs here”…. he goes with me to the mall and we make a date night out of a quick “twig” run. It’s a win-win! He knows that I really enjoy decorating and while he does have some veto power, most of the time he lets me do whatever ideas pop into my head!!
Now the funny part of decorating a new house that is double the size of your previous home is that everything we used to decorate with looks miniature now! Our old tree looks so TINY under 9ft ceilings! So we added to our “holiday decor” collection a little bit and I have to say, the house feels magical!! I LOVE sitting in the loving room at night with all of the twinkly lights!! So enough of me rambling, let me show you some of our Christmas decor!!
Stockings are from Target two years ago… not sure if they still exist or not. Candle holders: Pottery Barn Sequenced Trees: Target Ornament : Crate and Barrel Assorted Ornaments: Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, Target, Hobby Lobby This is our “Wedding Tree”!! This is just a Walmart wreath tied to a mirror! Kitchen! If you saw this Thanksgiving Tablescape, I just switched the twigs and the runner and added a few Christmas accents! Love!! This was our main Christmas tree from our first home! Twigs: Crate and Barrel Glassware and Votives: Crate and Barrel Trees: Target Pottery Barn “Bokeh” frame I believe… it was a gift! :) This year’s packaging was gold and silver! Thank goodness for the Target $1 section! And the outside!! I hope all of you decor lovers out there enjoyed this and that it was inspiring!! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE and enjoy your Christmas EVE!!!!!!Life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? Over the last few months, I’ve been on a medical rollercoaster that I never saw coming.

In today’s world, the idea of a “healthy home” can feel overwhelming. With constant information about toxins, processed foods, and environmental risks, it’s easy to feel defeated before you even start. So I’m sharing our journey and the small, impactful steps we’ve taken towards a healthier home.
Wedding days can be incredibly stressful for everyone involved. Photographers, brides, grooms, and guests alike often find themselves overwhelmed by the schedule and the numerous details that need attention. However, there are key “in-between” moments throughout the day that can be leveraged to create a smoother experience and better outcomes. As the photographer, you can calm the nerves of everyone there and capture their day beautifully!
This week, Michael is sitting down with me at the microphone to join me on the podcast! When we started our Acton Academy journey, we had big dreams and very little idea of the practical challenges that lay ahead. Today, in year three of running our own Acton Academy, Michael and I are thrilled to reflect on the incredible transformation we’ve seen in our learners, our community, and even our own perspectives on education.
