know what you’re going to get with an engagement session in November. It could be a perfect 65 degrees or it could be a FREEZING day in the low 40’s! Luckily, we had a perfect day for Amy and Derek’s engagement session in Yorktown. For those of you that are not from Virginia, it’s ok to be jealous of all of our super photogenic locations. Virginia is pretty legit when it comes to having a wide array of shooting locations. We have beaches, mountains, historic plantations, river fronts and little quaint towns like Yorktown! I love this place! I wish we lived close because if we did,
Michael and I would definitely have evening walks to the river and make a stop by Ben and Jerry’s on the way home! It was the perfect place for these two. Amy and Derek are laid back and so incredibly comfortable with each other AND being in front of the camera. Their wedding day is going to be a piece of cake. We walked around the streets and found little nook and crannies with good light and perfect fall colors. We talked about the wedding, their family and before we knew it, time was up and the sun was setting. It was such an honor to spend an afternoon with these two and I wish EVERY couple could make each other laugh as naturally and candidly as these two do. You’ll see what I mean:). Enjoy my favorites!
