We pulled into the quaint little town of Wytheville, Va and it was just as charming as everyone said it would be. The mom and pop shops lined the streets of downtown and the mountains were in the distance. It’s a gorgeous place to live! Michael and I have family friends that are really close to our hearts and they live in the area so we stayed with them the night before the wedding. We loved seeing how everyone interacted with one another because it reminded us of our hometown. Everyone knows everybody… everyone wanted to be a part of the day… and everyone was overjoyed to see these two tie the knot! Someone even said in passing “This is a BIG day for Wytheville!” How cute is that?! It was a big day… and it was a BEAUTIFUL day! The temperature outside felt like Fall and I loved it!!
How blessed were they to have such incredible weather in the middle of August?! Summer brides DREAM of temperatures like we had on Friday! It was the perfect day for an outdoor cocktail hour and the rain stayed in the distance for us!
Meredith has followed the blog for YEARS and last Friday, it was finally HER turn!! After months of texts and emails and then meeting in person for both the engagement and Meredith’s bridal portraits, I felt like a part of the family!! I just love it when a wedding day feels so welcoming and it was so wonderful seeing so many familiar faces. Aaron and Meredith knew that their wedding was going to have an incredible turnout. Literally hundreds of friends and family gathered at the Methodist church to witness these two tie the knot! Everyone was so excited to celebrate this new marriage and I can totally understand why. Aaron and Meredith are so kind, down-to-earth and genuine. They are the type of couple that I find myself loving more and more as I learn more about them. Michael and I loved being a part of their beautiful wedding day and I can’t wait to show you their images!! Enjoy this new blog post everyone!! And congrats to the newlyweds!! We love you two!!
How gorgeous are those shoes?! Meredith had the sweetest charms on her bouquet in memory of her grandfathers. Sweet Lucy girl! Dad came downstairs and this was his first look at Meredith with her hair and veil done. So sweet. Despite the excitement in the room… she looks VERY concerned! ha! Sweet Meleah was OUR flower girl!! I can’t believe how grown up she is!Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
