moving slow today! I just finished a two day workshop where I taught all of our new photog friends that blogging early in the morning or the night before is the BEST way to get the most traffic… and here I am blogging at 12pm! haha What a hypocrite! :) I’m giving myself some grace because we’ve been going non-stop and so I totally slept in today! Bokeh did too!! We’ll be in recovery mode for the next two days and then we’re off to Ohio for a wedding!
So before I continue my day off and tune into Netflix and take Bokeh to a dog park, here are some behind the scenes shots from the workshop! I can’t WAIT to share the full shoot once it’s published! Amanda (check out her new site! Ah-mazing!) and all of the other vendors did an incredible job!! The group was awesome. We have so many new friends from ALL over! California, New Hampshire, Canada, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, etc!! We literally crammed as much as we possibly could into those two days!! I always tell attendees that it’s going to take a few days to decompress but if they are a tad overwhelmed, that’s probably a good thing!! :)
So enjoy some behind the scenes and have a fabulous Wednesday!!!! Thanks again to everyone who helped!! Especially my sweet mother in law who was here Sunday, Monday AND Tuesday to help Michael make it happen! This is Camberley and she has just started an amazing paper decor business, Sweet Pear Paper!! How awesome is this?!!!! ah! Brides, take note! This would be amazing behind your cake, head table, alter, etc! Such a fabulous, creative business! I love what she’s doing! Give her a “like” on Facebook!! Oh my gosh! Baby BANE came!!! He’s so handsome!! We just love him and his momma! This Butterscotch themed fall shoot is one for the books! Always thankful for the amazing rentals from Paisley and Jade! And hand calligraphy from The Weekend Type! and of course, Amanda styled and did the gorgeous florals! Sarah did hair and makeup and works for Emily Hudspeth! AND I can’t forget Willie and Lindsey, our awesome models!! :) awwww!!! Such an awesome group!!! Dinner time! Michael and Bobbi make the dinners each night! Workshops are only possible because of these two. Michael literally makes these things come to life… I just teach! :) And Molly girl made an appearance! Look at these beautiful faces!!!
This beautiful day way unlike any wedding I have ever photographed before. It’s hard to put into words how powerful and inspiring it was.
If you’ve been following my updates since I got the R6 two years ago, you know I LOVE it!! It has been a game changer for me! But there is ONE mistake that I’ve made that cannot be fixed afterwards!
There are things that EVERY photographer should have on their website! We will walk through some students’ websites to see how small changes can impact their perceived value, and for you to see if what they’re missing is something that you are too!
You know what I’m realizing? I’m realizing I am loving getting to see people I love and miss in this very busy season of our life.
We’re gearing up for wedding season and there are so many ways to market yourself DURING a wedding to keep new clients coming in! I have been a wedding photographer for 13 years, and I have never paid for ‘traditional’ advertising!
I am eating my words again! For years, I have used InDesign for everything… but Canva had a HUGE update last year which changed everything!!
