I have said it it so many times, we love being a part of friend and family weddings! Some photographers don’t like the pressure and responsibility that comes with shooting a family member’s wedding but I have to say that I wouldn’t want it any other way. Michael and I absolutely loved being a part of Paige and Ryan’s big day! The two of us and my dad made the journey to Wisconsin early on Friday morning and before I knew it, we were at rehearsal dinner with family that we hadn’t seen in over two years!! The last time we visited family at the lake, it was for Paige’s brother’s wedding two years prior. I only wish there were more cousins left in this family so that our pilgrimage to the lake could continue!! We love it up there. It was a perfect 75 degrees and 0% humidity! VERY different from the Florida weather we experienced two weeks ago!
The wedding day came and the excitement was contagious. Paige is one of those people who can set the tone in any environment. When she’s happy, EVERYONE around her is happy! You can’t help but join in on her excitement. She had waited for this day for so long and it was finally happening!! She squealed after her hair was done… and then after her dress went on… and then she squealed AND cried when she saw her gorgeous reception. I was so much fun to not only witness her excitement throughout every single part of the day but to capture it as well.
As beautiful as all of the details were that Paige and her mom and sister slaved over the last few weeks, the most beautiful part of the day was watching Paige walk down the aisle to her groom. They stood before a church full of family and friends and promised to be best friends for a lifetime. As the priest introduced “Mr. & Mrs. Kane” for the very first time, the crowd cheered and Ryan looked like the happiest man on the planet!! I can’t wait for you to see the images! These two exuded joy the whole day and whenever I get to photograph a couple like that, it’s a GOOD day! :)
Ryan and Paige are an incredible pair and I’m so thankful that I had so much time to see them together as a couple the past month or so. They compliment each other so well and I love how happy they make each other. I’ve known Paige my whole life and even though I only had the chance to see her every now and then when we were growing up, she has never seemed so comfortable and confident as she is when she’s beside Ryan. :) Their day was amazing and I can’t wait to show you some of my favorites!! Enjoy!!!
Ryan and Paige, we just adore you guys! Congratulations and enjoy this down time together as newlyweds!! California is going to be amazing! We love you and we can’t thank you enough for allowing us to be a part of your big day!!!!!! xoxo
Paige’s sister made her this keepsake box! LOVED it! And Paige’s mom makes incredible jewelry! She made Paige’s necklace and earrings from some heirloom pearls and crystals! AH!! Beautiful stationary! Loved her dress!! I think the guys had some suspender trouble.. hahaI have no idea what they’re doing… but they do! Such a fun group of friends! Steph AND little Mackie helping Paige get dressed:) Stunning Paige! You make a bathroom look amazing!! Reading a letter from Ryan:) How cute are they?! Loved this moment…. So sweet… Mr. & Mrs. Kane!!!Chase and Mackie almost stole the show. They are seriously the cutest and I may have taken way too many pictures of them. :)Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
