You want the amazing pictures…BUT.. You don’t want to break it, lose it, or be so obsessed with it that it takes away from your experience!
I get that! There are some trips that I have learned an iPhone picture is all that I need to capture the memories while other trips I want the BIG camera feel!
There are so many factors that go into making that decision!
But how do you figure out which one is best for each trip?!
Here are 3 thoughts that help me make my decision as to bringing the big camera or not!
- How much camera anxiety do you have? Does the thought of scratches, dents and/ or losing it completely cripple you? If you don’t have a backup camera for a wedding next week, that is a totally normal anxiety to have!
- Does it add or detract value from your vacation? It can be so easy to go into ‘work mode’ and not be able to stop shooting but you’re not actually taking it all in in the moment! If you can put the camera away after taking a few epic shots, it adds value to your trip to remember it by.
- Do you want photos that are better quality than just iPhone photos? On our Disney vacation, I just wanted to capture the memories and make it easy! So iPhone pictures were just perfect. But for our Jackson Hole trip, I wanted to focus and depth to be captured in our images!
Making the decision to take the camera or not is the first step! SO if you want to take your camera, which one is the best to take!?
I think the RF 28-70 f/2.0 is the best lens to travel with! You can have the best of both worlds.. You have the portrait and the grand width look all in one!
