I have to admit that I was a little nervous about this one. The government is shut down and Lindy has always dreamed of having portraits with the national monuments! However, despite the barricades and massive amount of tourists, we made it happen!! The only way to shoot portraits around DC on a weekend with a gov’t shut down is to have an amazing group of friends in your bridal party AND you have to have a stretch hummer! :) Michael and I loved riding around DC with Nik and Lindy and their best friends. As we sat in the limo and headed to their ceremony, I was reminded of just how awesome this job is. We get to spend so much time with our couples on their wedding day and that’s such a privilege!! Nik and Lindy are just amazing. They have a story that not many have. Dating for 9 years is quite an accomplishment and so their wedding day was SUCH a celebration!!
Friend and family who have watched them grow up together have been waiting for this day for a LONG time and it was finally here!!! And it was beautiful. Everything was just lovely from beginning to end! As soon as I walked into the hotel room that morning, and saw Lindy’s dress, I knew it was going to be a good day!! Gorgeous!!! She was stunning and I knew she would be. Lindy just has this grace and elegance about her that is so beautiful. I can totally see why Nik thinks he’s the luckiest guy in the world. :) As they shared their vows, exchanged rings and shared a kiss, their 9 year journey turned a new corner… a BIG corner! We couldn’t be more excited for them as they start their new life together as husband and wife!! We remember that transition and it was so much fun!!
Nik and Lindy, you two have been such a blessing to us this fall!! We love you, we love your story and we LOVED being a part of your amazing wedding day! I can’t wait to see all that God has in store for your marriage!! xoxoxo
