…previously that I get nervous before weddings sometimes. This was only my 2nd or 3rd wedding where I haven’t met the bride until the day of the wedding! AH! I was nervous! I knew Shyla was going to be a sweetheart from her emails but I normally like doing engagement sessions before the wedding day so that the couple can get used to the camera. Welp! Chris and Shyla worked it like pros and we had no problems what so ever! He makes her laugh, he likes doing his “serious” face and Shyla laughs at his “serious” face….. so this made for great portraits! I love Chris and Shyla and the fact that they hired me for their wedding day without ever meeting me was a compliment! They trusted me to capture their day
and I loved being there!! The weather, the location, the light.. everything was perfect for their relaxed evening wedding. Chris and Shyla’s friends and family celebrated and partied the night away at the Historic Kinloch. It was a blast! As I watched Shyla dance with her girls, I couldn’t help but get excited to celebrate with mine! I’ve been so busy planning that I had forgotten just how amazing it is going to be to have 400 friends and family surrounding us on 10-10-10… and yes, I said 400! Yikes!!! Enjoy these MANY favorites and be sure to take your time….my next wedding is coming in November so this will have to hold you over for a little while!
I can’t ever decide on detail shots, ok… it’s a hard job!
Love this. I don’t know why… it’s just so simple.
Ok, I must introduce you to Addison, Chris and Shyla’s baby girl! This shot was taken right before she applied her dark brown eye shadow to the center of her cheeks… precious.
After taking these… i knew it was going to be a fabulous day. Shyla, girl you’ve got “the look”!
Shy’s bridesmaid’s reaction to her in her dress! Priceless! I can’t wait for that moment!!! 10 days!!
Oh “First Looks”, how I love you!
Everyone deserves a moment like this!
I didn’t even realize until I was 5-starring their images that that tree was GOLDEN!!! Niceeee.
Shyla, you’re absolutely gorgeous!Future brides: ALL of these portraits were done in about 10-12 minutes…. doing a First Look can SAVE your wedding day timeline! Seriously!
